Hey everyone, it’s almost time! Ever since that timeline came out with Cataclysm beta, I’ve been counting down the days. I’m really looking forward to Cataclysm, so just this week, I’ve logged back into Wrath of the Lich King to do a little bit of organizing. While I was at it, I noticed some literal free WoW Cataclysm Gold just sitting on the table in the form of inscription.

Let’s rewind a bit for some history. At the start of Wrath of the Lich King, I went crazy for inscription. I made around a million gold, which at that point was a crazy amount. I’m not sure exactly how many greatness trinkets I sold, but it was insane. I didn’t even start leveling until two weeks in because I was so busy selling. The profits back then were wild.

Looking at the margins today, I think there’s still some real potential for anyone with the will to mill. The trinket prices currently range between 2,000 and 4,000 gold, with a sale rate between 0.086 and 0.090. Anything above 0.1 is a decent sale rate, so these trinkets are marginally below decent. They won’t sell constantly, but they will sell consistently and at low margins. This is all we need.

I can’t hand in my decks today to demonstrate how easily these are selling, as the fair doesn’t arrive until Sunday. So, I’ve just bought a couple of trinkets and now I’m selling them to check it out. The selling process was fine; they both sold within 8 hours. I had to repost them twice, which is pretty reasonable.

Now, let’s talk materials. Eternal life is under one gold, and Icebore is under 30 silver. I actually made a calculator and posted it online. I’ll pop a link into the description so you can check it out yourself. When I put the numbers in, it’s telling me that we expect it to cost around 750 gold per Noble’s deck to craft. Remember, you’ll also get the other trinkets too when you make the Darkmoon cards. It’s random which one you’re going to get; Greatness, which is the Noble’s deck, is the one you want, but others also sell, just slower and cheaper.

The next random moment is which card you’ll get. If you do get really bad luck, maybe you’re really frustrated, or maybe you just miss one card, then you can also trade with somebody else or just buy a single card off the auction house. I’ve traded and purchased a few times in the past. It often feels like there’s just one card with a huge shortage. I usually do regret it, though, as my deck swings wildly, and I end up lacking a different card instead.

Now, this is a hustle that you need gold for. If you don’t have much gold to start, then consider looking through some of my older Wrath of the Lich King videos. I made a playlist, and I’ll pop that in the description. In order to get the numbers for my calculator, I’m around 10,000 herbs, although I actually did a lot more than that at the start of Wrath for gold-making.

Now, though, you’ll find to start with around 5 to 10,000 gold, you’ll need to do a crazy amount of milling. It’s another one of those annoying jobs like disenchanting or prospecting, where you’re going to need to press a button each time rather than just queue things up. I do have a macro; you’ll probably see that on the screen now. You can bind this macro to your mouse wheel, and then you can wheel up and down. This makes it feel a little bit better.

I also use an add-on called Faster LO, which speeds things up for you. After your mills done, you need to craft your ink. It’s the green ink that you need, but craft your white ink and then visit the ink trader in Dalaran. I think we were actually about three days into Wrath before I realized the ink trader was in. I’m still sitting on a surplus of around 2,000 glyphs that I crafted, trying to use them up. I’ll be saving them for… glyph, I suppose.

I like to craft cards in bulk. I never craft one or two, as I always feel that the RNG is just too powerful. If you craft two cards and you get two bad ones, it feels awful. But if you craft 25 cards, most normal situations are quite salvageable. So, you get your cards, put them together, and make a deck. Now, you have to wait for the fair to hand them in.

When you do hand them in, you can choose between Spirit, Agility, Strength, or Intellect. Agility is usually king, followed by Strength. Intellect is okayish, but never ever choose Spirit. I actually saw a rogue with a Spirit one back when these cost 25,000 gold, back when 25,000 gold was a lot. I felt really bad for him.

Finally, you have your trinket. So that’s great, but so does everyone else. If the price is good, then that’s fine. But if not, consider holding them just until the fair’s away. I know you are thinking that this is a lot of hassle, so let’s do a little bit of math here.

These trinkets are costing around 700 to 750 gold to craft, give or take for a bit of RNG, and they are selling for 2,000 to 4,000 gold. This is absolutely worth a bit of work. Good luck! Please do try it, let me know if you do with cheap WoW Cataclysm Classic Gold, and I hope to find out how you get on. I hope you found this video useful today, and if you did, then please take a moment to like and subscribe. It’s so helpful for the channel. Thanks a lot, bye!
